What a great week we had in Guayaquil Ecuador!  Our team spent our week working with the Salvation Army base in Guayaquil.

The Salvation Army base sits at the bottom of a huge hill filled with homes in the middle of the community. The Salvation Army began at this location because on the hill right behind the base, the people had no running water. They were able to develop a water pumping system to ensure water could reach the thousands living on the hillside.

Currently, this base also offers Compassion Child Sponsorships! These children who are sponsored are able to receive meals, education and medical care here at the center. It was quite impressive to get to be involved with the children this week!

We had a blast with them doing crafts, learning more about God's word, and loving on the kids of Ecuador!
